Conference Summary

The American Carbon Society organized a 1-day virtual conference to examine and discuss the opportunities of using Carbon Science & Technology in order to help win the battle against COVID-19.

3 Areas of Potential Opportunity were identified for discussion:

  • Using Carbon Science & Technology To Detect The COVID-19 Virus
  • Using Carbon-Based Filtration Technology To Trap The COVID-19 Virus
  • Using Carbon Science & Technology To Inactivate The COVID-19 Virus

 

Conference Format

The virtual conference took place via Zoom, and was recorded for video archival in The American Carbon Society YouTube Channel. Plenary lectures were given by leading experts on the application of carbon materials in biomedical applications.
