Thermal Management Conference Summary

WHEN March 18 & 19, 2024.

The American Carbon Society is organizing a 2-day symposium & workshop on Thermal Management.

The Objective of this event is to promote high-temperature materials science and technology in the field of Thermal Management. 4 Areas of Potential Opportunity have been identified for consideration:

  • Materials For Thermal Insulation
  • Materials For High Thermal Conductivity
  • Materials For Constructing Fire/Heat Barriers & Seals
  • Thermal Analysis

 

Conference Format

The conference will include:

  • Plenary-Type Lectures presented by leading experts
  • Research Presentations (15 + 5 mins each)
  • Research Posters & Reception
  • Campus & Laboratory Tour

 

Conference Location & Accomodations

The conference will be hosted at the Hunt Library, on the Centennial Campus, at North Carolina State University.

The university recommends that visitors stay at The Stateview Hotel, Autograph Collection, and a daily shuttle service will run between the conference location and the hotel.

 

Conference Publications

With the author’s permission, specific presentations may be uploaded to The American Carbon Society YouTube Channel Video Archive, and/or be uploaded to our Workshops Archive (in PDF format), for future access by our Membership.

Abstract DEADLINE – Before 15 February 2024

  • Please Submit your Abstract in digital format, with a maximum of 150 words, to Luke Joyce RLJoyce@ncsu.edu.
  • When you submit your Abstract, please use the e-mail “Subject” line: “Thermal Management (March 18-19 2024) Abstract Submission”
  • Specify your preference for an Oral or Poster presentation
  • Include each Author’s name and affiliation
  • Underline the Presenter’s name

 


Conference Registration & Fee

The Conference Fee is $350.00 (USD), which will cover conference attendance, tours, handouts, refreshments, the reception, and meals.
