ASTM International (formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials), is a global organization that creates voluntary standards for products, materials, systems, and services. ASTM’s standards are developed by industry professionals through an open process that encourages input from everyone. The standards are intended to improve safety and performance across industries, and they are often referenced and incorporated into international regulations and codes.
ASTM Committe D02 on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, & Lubricants contains many subcommittees.
The scope of the ASTM D02.F0 Subcommittee is the promotion of knowledge, stimulation of research and the development and maintenance of standard test methods, guides, specifications and nomenclature for Manufactured Carbon & Graphite Products, exclusive of those assigned to other ASTM Committees/Subcommittees.
The subcommittee includes members from graphite and carbon manufacturers, testing labs, equipment suppliers, research scientists, academics, nuclear power plant licensees and nuclear reactor designers and regulators.
Anyone interested in the field covered by the subcommittee’s scope is eligible to apply to become a member or attend the meetings.
The current chair of the subcommittee is Nassia Tzelepi of the UKNNL.
